its time for a change.

i started last week, but due to illness had to take a break. this is what stops me every time. but not this time.

i keep starting the workout routine, but ending it.
im tired of a fat stomach, im tired of getting TIRED from moderate excercise, im tired of not being as strong as i used to be.

i have until May to get back into good shape.
im changing my diet, excersicing daily and starting a moderate weight routine.

i hope to god i dont lose motivation this time.

ive added "Via" as one of my most hated and one of the most misused words.

people in my department are constantly using that word and its become quite obnoxious.

"i arrived on scene via foot patrol."
"i contacted him via the Nextel."
"please contact me via memorandum."

yes, technically these are all proper uses.
but that doesn't negate the fact that the word is extremely annoying.

so, ive begun to amass a small arsenal.

in addition to my 1911 .45 ACP handun
i have an 8x57 Yugoslavian Mauser K98/M48 en route.

i had 500 rounds for my 1911
but i shot about 260 of that over the last week at the range.

i ordered 760 rounds for the Mauser... because its so damn cheap.
only problem is
the closest public range is an hour and a half south of here.

first.

i just noticed Eva Green is in the new Bond film.
i dont like Bond movies, but shes one of my future wives, so i have to see it now.

second.

my fat, asshole father challenged me tonight, stating i wouldnt be able to keep up with him running. or, hed give me a run for my money.

shyeah. right.

i can run a 5.5 minute mile.
even now, out of shape and with a gut, i could hit 6 minutes no problem.

Amy and Matt should find that funnier than anyone else.

so i had a special assignment this past Friday morning.

i was charged with keeping it a secret, and it was something i took pride in doing.
my Chief and CO had me picked first for the assignment, which honored me.

the duties were the protection and providing security for Dennis Hastert while he toured a new building that he got a majority of the funding for. i worked side-by-side with the Capitol Police, which was quite an honor in itself. i got to meet Mr. Hastert, the 3rd most powerful man in the world. he shook my hand twice and thanked me the second time. i opted out of photos with him.

needless to say, it was an awesome assignment and i was proud to have been deligated such duties.

first of all... the government DOES NOT DECIDE GAS PRICES!

I'm sick of all these dumbass people blaming the goverment for gas prices. Who decides then? Saudis and Arabs and the big corporations. Those who drill the oil decide how much to sell the oil for. It's called free-trade. The reason gas prices are going down is due to the fact that oil stations in the Gulf are back up to operating at 100% efficiancy and since Summer is over. What does summer have to do with it?

so.

i get in trouble at work pretty often.

not always bad trouble. were usually laughing when im being scolded, but trouble nonetheless.

apparently i have a habit of engaging myself in dangerous situations.

my chief is concerned with not getting sued. thats the man way of saying hes worried ill get hurt.

today was another of these days.
not a big thing.
some dumb girl drove through the deeply saturated mud and get her car stuck.
so, i, in my freshly cleaned, laced and polished to a mirror finish boots, got behind her car and pushed.

this is apparently a high risk situation where i can:
a. get run over
b. hyperextend a vertabrae
c. otherwise injure myself from strain

im more concerned with PR and getting people on their way. (no matter how dumb they are.)

something about having the power to help but not utilizing it seems dishonorable.
that being said, i will continue to do dumb things to ensure that people make it home safe and sound.
